Настало время разбавить ряд сочинений для IELTS сочинением для CAE. Из какой книги взято задание – уже не помню. Формулировалось оно примерно так: напишите репорт об опросе людей на улице об их привычках в еде: где они обычно едят в течение дня, сколько раз и еду какого типа.

Далее мое сочинение. Оно не очень удачное, т.к. написано было уже очень давно, но в целом может пригодиться.

This report was written to look into the results of a survey into people’s eating habits. In this survey two hundred people were chosen at random in the street and questioned about their preferable type of food and what time and where they usually eat.

As expected a significant number of respondents usually eat at home. This was stated by 65% of people questioned. Three out of ten people have lunch at bars, canteens or restaurants at least three times a week. And only a small minority of the respondents eats out almost every day.

The survey also showed that the largest proportion of respondents usually eats three times a day. A small number of people prefer to have only breakfast and supper. The majority of people usually have between-meal snacks. A large proportion of people also prefer to eat late in the evenings.

Even though people questioned often claim that they pay attention to what they eat the quality of their everyday food is rather low. Products with synthetic ingredients, high sugar and fat content are predominant; however healthy food such as vegetables, fruits and seafood is less popular. As a result the majority of respondents suffer from chronic ailment and experience the lack of vital vitamins which leads to lowered immunity. This is very important to young people as they are the main consumers of junk food which undermines their health.

In conclusion, the survey indicates that even though the quality of food for most people is still rather low, a large number of them express concern in their eating habits and are planning to start eating healthier food.
